Scissors I Recommend
- Spring-Assisted Scissors
- These are great intro-scissors, even for children with no fine motor/tone/general development concerns.
- The handy spring-assist allows the child to learn to squeeze and cut with a physical prompt to open the hand for the next cut.
- Disengage it when your child is ready to use them like “regular” scissors!
Love this! What age is it good/safe to start practicing scissor or cutting skills?
The first scissor option I recommend (the loop) are for kids 3 and up.
For typical kids scissors, I’d start by about age 2. Thanks!
Wow! These are so cute and look like so much fun for anyone with small kids.
These are so cute! Cutting is such a good way to practice fine motor skills.
Love this! Definitely saving for later!
This is such a great way for us to structure our scissor time. Usually I just let my little guy cut away at random scratch paper. Thank you !
My 2 year old is fascinated with scissors this would be the perfect ebook for me to get so she could practice! Thanks for sharing!
